nutritionDay at the heart of ESPEN Malnutrition Awareness Week. #ESPENMAW26

As it does every year, nutritionDay stands as the definitive centerpiece of ESPEN’s Malnutrition Awareness Week (ESPENMAW26 from 9-13th NOV ). The international benchmarking audit will be held this year on NOV 12th at it represents ESPEN’s strong commitment to promoting data-driven research and clinical excellence.

To honor two decades of global research (2006–2026), #ESPENMAW26 will host a dedicated nutritionDay webinar ( more info soon). This landmark event will present the most significant nDay results from the past 20 years, showcasing how data has shaped policy and practice worldwide. We are honored to welcome National Coordinators from across the globe, who will share their unique country-level achievements and the transformative role nutritionDay has played in their local healthcare systems and practice.

By transforming real-world snapshots into actionable evidence, nutritionDay is a powerful tool in the fight against Disease-Related Malnutrition (DRM). The nutritionDay audit aims to increase global awareness of DRM through systematic data collection. The comprehensive nDay reports empower healthcare institutions—including hospitals, ICUs, nursing homes, and primary care centers—to benchmark their performance against international reference. This annual audit ensures that nutritional care quality is systematically monitored and highlights areas of care in your unit where more attention is needed.

This year, ESPEN Malnutrition Awareness Week focuses on:
The Metabolic Challenge: Navigating the intersection of Diabetes and nutritional care.
Critical Care: nutrition in the ICU
Obesity: Addressing the clinical implications of GLP-1 therapies
